Redeeming the Time

It’s August 1st. We are now more than halfway through 2007 in what seems like a blink of an eye and now I am starting to think about how this year started.

I remember the Watchnight Service at my church where the pastor talked about God’s plan for his people being fulfilled. 2007 was supposed to represent the year of completion as the number “7” in biblical numeroloy represents completion. (I hope I don’t sound like I am jaded about the year thus far, but this is just my recap.) So, we all got hyped about what 2007 was going to bring. It was going to be a year of fulfillment and a year where many of us decided that we were going to draw nearer to God than ever before.

Well now that we are eight in with much behind us in the way of new year’s resolutions and the like, I’m curious to know how many of you think you are where you are supposed to be and how many desire to back track and change some things. I know I do and here is the great thing about this…We can still redeem the time that we have been given.

It’s not too late to make that change now, so what is your 3/4 of the year resolution?

  1. I haven’t thought about making one but I think I need to be more proactive in a Godly way. In otherwords, being more disciplined but also doing the things, without prompting, that I know are Godly things. I know that’s very general but many of us wait for prompting. There’s nothing wrong with that. But, there are many things we could do that we know are of God (giving, serving) without His prompting.
