What Not to Say…

This evening following my weekly liturgical dance ministry practice I was waiting outside of the church for the bus. As if it isn’t tragic enough to be waiting for the bus late at night, this woman walks past me and another young lady waiting for the bus and says “You guys sure look cold.” She laughed, said something to herself to which both of us responded with a smile and a nod of the head, and then she kept it moving to her car.

So, I was cold and tired and this woman wants to make light of the fact that I have to stand outside and wait for my blue and white chariot to arrive. OK, I am sure she didn’t make that comment intentionally but man I stung like it did…

  1. Selfishness desensitizes one to the needs of others. This is a lesson is making sure that you always **look** for a need that you can fill. I thought Naima took you to the train after rehearsals. If she is not there or cannot take you, please be sure to tell me.
